At the beginning, there were snapshots. Like most people, I didn’t think too much about the pictures that I used to take. It was more about registering moments, as some kind of aid to my memory.
Then, when I got my first camera, at first I mostly interested in all those knobs and dials, and how they’d affect what I see. I discovered that there are many ways to see the same things and also that those different ways of seeing things impact what we feel about them.
